Anne was reading (Past Continuous) a book when suddenly she heard (Past Simple) a weird noise. She (Past Simple) the window but she didn't see (Past Simple) anything unusual.Then a green monster appeared (Past Simple) in the garden. At first she screamed (Past Simple) in horror but then she realized (Past Simple) that it seemed familiar. She turned (Past Simple) on the garden light and she was (Past Simple) surprised. The wind was moving (Past Continuous) her green dress on the washing line up and down making her think it was a monster.
